The Shiu Pong Group actively manages an extensive portfolio of residential, commercial and retail properties on behalf of many condominium boards, independent clients, large institutions and investors since the early 1970’s.
For over 50 years the Shiu Pong Group has developed, constructed and managed commercial, residential and industrial real estate properties worldwide.
With it’s origins in Hong Kong, in 1957 the Shiu Pong Group created and developed the first high-rise industrial building in Hong Kong. Other significant developments continued in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand. Shiu Pong Group’s real estate developments in Canada began in 1972, and include: Dragon City, Dragon Centre, The Radius, Mapledale Condominium, Garden Terrace Condominium, Two Twenty Duncan Mill Condominium, Victoria Park Business Centre, Bayview Royal Community and Campus 2000.
Today, Henry and Daniel Hung (the principles behind Shiu Pong) are grateful to their grandfather who in 1926 started Hong Kong’s Wai Tak Land Investment & Loan Co. Ltd., one of the largest mortgage lenders of the time. From there fast forward to 1957, when Henry and Daniel’s father incorporate Shiu Pong (Hong Kong) the forefather of what is today known as The Shiu Pong Group. Pictured here is the official 90th Anniversary Celebration photo taken in 2016 in Hong Kong.
Approaching the century milestone, the Shiupong family dynasty has always been at the forefront of innovation. Wai Tak, the company’s forefather pioneered and developed the first ever multi-tenanted industrial highrise in the early 1950’s in Hong Kong. The concept was immediately a success and ultimately quickly copied throughout Hong Kong. Vision like this enables us to be the company that we are today.
